If you still want to use glass walls just add an overhang over the glass facade. That will protect it and you can still see outside.
Seeing as how the glass building pieces have metal grids to reinforce them and divide them into small sections, this must be some extremely low quality glass we are building with in the game. If not, the enviro suits also keep us from being blown over by winds exceeding 80mph which apparently happen in the strongest storms.
Design choices in this game be like, "Because I say so."
its like they hate the building part in the game and do not want you to build anything.
or they love torturing people and waiting their time....
yeah had this same experience yesterday myself.
The actual reason I rolled a new character however is the SOUND the glass makes in a storm. Even when its 20 dura and techncially broken in a wind storm, it keeps making the looped sound of glass shattering.
Until its either toned down or doesnt happen as often, I'd rather sit in my pitch dark craft hut and crouch over my crop plots.
PS; the talent to prevent crop spoilage requires you to craft a brand new crop plot. If your still using the old ones when you put the point in to the skill, it wont count and crops will continue to spoil. It affects the object itself, not the player.
But for the best protection, build outisde stone because it has the most durability and inside concrete so you will have less issues with cold, hot temperatures but when you are in the room where your oven is then its gona be hot. Sadly, glass structures are more than useless in this game.
