How to change the suit on the Outpost?

I have built an Outpost, I have returned to the space station, done some mission, got enough cash to research and craft a new suit - XIGO S5-X Envirosuit - which has a water slot.

Then I select my outpost, I equip the new suit and confirm loadout:

And then I still have my old suit equipped:

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? Any workaround?

Yeah it does not show the enviro suit for me in the load out.

It's a known bug on outposts. I've never seen it anywhere else but outposts.

This is a thread necro'd from two years ago. I'm unable to replicate the bug on my Outpost map - I can drop either with my HARK suit or the default S5-II suit.

Can you give us more details? We may be able to get you sorted. The method to change out your envirosuit on Open World and Outpost are the same. Here's a link to a post explaining it:

I am having the same problem on Olympus too. I researched and fabbed some enviro suits, but can't load them onto a drop pod or equip them before loading. Unless the can only be donned on a new game?
On another note, I was able to bring down other gear, including an IC-001 extractor. But the problem is, It won't let me pick it up, even with empty hands and slots.

You can only swap out suits up in the orbital station. In the loadout screen before you rejoin the outpost.

Certain objects can only go in the "G" slot, all the way at the right end of your hotbar. It has a grey symbol like a flatbed pushcart on wheels. The mission scanners, radars, and extractors go there. It is the only place you can put those, on your character. They can be put into containers like normal (once you have it in your G slot).
