Outpost not saving progress, builds etc?

How does it work? I created outpost and built a house and when i left the game and came back everything was gone and i landed with a new dropship in a new location. I had things in the inventory that i had before like hatchet, pickaxe etc. but the house and actuall progress was gone.. It's like i created a new outpost, i didn't actually join my old one.

make sure when u launch to the outpost you are selecting the one You named, and not "new outpost" because you probably did create a new outpost.

I've jumped in and out of my outpost multiple times this week with no issues and my cottage house is still up and standing

I couldn't select the one i named because it did not exist. The only option i had was to create a new outpost but the strange thing is i landed in a new spot with the gear and tools in my inventory.

Have a look in the patchnotes. There it states that due to a bug for some player all three outpost maps were available regardless of owning the Supporters Edition or not. That may can be the case for you here? Do you have the Supporters Edition or the basic game?

If you leave and come back to the same save, it may land you somewhere else but your builds will still be there. I now leave fires burning around so I can find them easier.

just had the same thing happen to me. loaded back into the same outpost. landed in a pod with a bunch of gear on me from last time i played and when i got to the same spot my cabin was built all that was there was some overflow bundles containing the door and what i had in my camp fire.
