Ice box and fridge

We need something in between, Ice Box is too small and requires ice and fridge is too expensive and late game. Maybe give us a smoke house for t3 that would have as much preservation power but higher space and require coal/wood?

Yeah, that's not a terrible idea. Maybe add something rudimentary at tier 1, something a bit better at tier 2, and a proper smoker at tier 3. I wouldn't bother with it for the most part since meat is very easy to obtain and while the stack decays over time it's only the top item that decays. Smoking meats and fish could maybe cut the decay by a moderate amount at tier 1, a bit more at tier 2, and significantly at tier 3? A cooking pot that you can simmer a stew in all day would also be good - maybe one of the other cooking stations does that already. I haven't bothered with anything above the fire pit yet.

Drying rack or smoking cabinet could be implemented as early as t1 for preserving meat and vegetables. Low quality but long lasting.

I have only built the ice box once when we had a group of us.. Solo it is just to easy to gather on the move and not worry about it

That is until you start cooking stuff and want to preserve it like fruit pie which expires really quickly for some odd reason
