like i dont mind how difficult the game is it makes it fun but jesus tone down the weather dmg lost every thing first it was a lightning strike burnt my base i quickly rebuild then the next storm high winds lost that base to i love building but not after every storm that decimates ur base

yeah havnt had time to get up to that part yet doing solid metal stock pile mission havnt had a chance to farm that yet sadly

bases need to take less damage... agreed!! It is total crap that a strong wooden base takes damage from heavy winds/rain.

like i dont mind the challange but 3 storms in a row destroyed my entire effort if stock pile solid metal after 7 hours not enjoying it

Welcome to Icarus. Your base burning down during a flash storm is a rite of passage here. It's happened to all of us, even the best of us. ;)

make a few "poor man's lightning rods" out of wooden poles about 5-6 poles high around your base (2-3) floor spaces away, but not connected to your base, maybe one for each side, the lightning should hit them instead of your base, you can even put them out (if they catch on fire) with the fire whacker.

If you want to save time and materials you only need a "shield" of stone floors above that overlap the sides by one square. The rest can be built in wood.
Or you get more creative.
