A low level polar bear can take a headshot with a rifle (3000 when stealthed)
and dies to a non stealthed headshot (another 1200)
higher levels take 3 shots.
Ok thanks for the info, will make it hard to get missions done.
I speed run missions in the arctic semi frequently with just a bow and fur armour,
but I try my best NOT to fight the polar bears, and have a bedroll somewhat close incase the worst happens.
That's what I was trying to do made a small place for bed roll and camp fire but polar bear spawned and now path's right next to me so had to quit and start all over.
you can actually dodge their attack in the video i put up on how to dominate bears, basically run past their sides and they miss the swipe because they take wide swings and have a slow wind up.
I tried building a tower, stone floor on 8 stone pillars.
Then shoot down with compound bow/flint arrows.
Worked but took insane amount of shots, as you can’t hit head most time.
Can do only 2-3 like that before bow breaks.
And another time he rammed the tower so hard that i fell of.
(tower was still standing later with minimal damage)
So that is not a valid strategy.
Those things are really bad news for solo players.
