Dry Run Drill Issues

Can't get the drill to activate. It says receiving power (1000 in red though) and the solar panel lights up green. So far we've tried laying the cable down from drill to panel, laying cable from panel to drill, and using both cave entrances. Also, we've all restarted the game and removed/replaced the drill each new attempt.

Are we missing something or is this mission buggy af?

are you drilling around a corner in water to the right? cause that's the second wall, means the first wall bugged out like it did to me and my buddy, had to redo the whole mission.

right around the downward part... there is suppose to be 2 walls to drill through with cave worms that attack upon powering it up.... pretty sure you'll have to restart the mission like I had to.

had same issue...had to re-run the wire and it worked...make sure you have direct sunlight

You have to follow the mission steps exactly or it wont work.

if it says there is no power when you are connected, you have to rewire the entire thing again. I saw people saying that you cant putt the wire tool away, and that did work for me...until it did it again, and i gave up for today. Having to rewire the entire thing over and over is silly

Another tip for this mission.

Build 2 floor tiles of any kind under the drill at the wall. After drilling is finished drill will drop to floor not under the ground so you can pick it up and go to the next.

Never encountered such problem. The only thing I noticed is that the solar power wasn't strong enough to power the drill in the morning. I had to wait until noon.

Direct sunlight is part of the trick. Peace Saintjohn has the answer. You have to have full sunlight, just a bit isn't enough. Once I had the right time of day it was pretty easy.

Hi, me and my Co-op friend when placing the drill in the cave last night it was powered on and making noises and animation but the checkbox for placing the drill never checked off and it was powered on but nothing more happened.

I will look for that second wall must be connected to the wrong wall when I get back from work, I didn't know there was two walls!

Makes this mission a bit complex :-).

What happens is the first wall doesn't spawn in when u enter the cave... so you end up running past it and setting up on the second wall, hence the thing never completes the check mark.

I had to redo the whole mission... the second attempt worked fine, no idea why the first attempt bugged out.

We tried go back to the Cave and look around then reconnect the Drill and replace it and could not see any other walls that could connect the Drill onto it so we are thinking it was bugged also.

Also not sure what caused it, we just took off in our Pods and later will try and redo this mission later on.
