Where is the ice?

I am currently playing on the outpost forest biome and can't find ice anywhere. Can someone tell me where to find it or am I just searching in vane for it?

as you get near the snow biomes look on ground you will find patches of ice

I don't see any snow biomes on the outpost forest map. I can easily find them on the Mission maps but this one appears to be just forest.

Well, the reason there's no ice in the forest biome might be that it's the FOREST biome, not the SNOW biome ... as far as I understand it, you get one kind of biome only per outpost map.

Funny thing is that after I made this post I went to the Arctic Outpost and there's no ice you can pick up there either. That makes the deployables that require ice useless in that part of the game.

Go to any snow/ice area. Look towards the floor and you'll see ice fragments you are able to pick up.

If you make yourself a water skin, you can put that into a fire, along with some ice to fill the waterskin.

Good lord! Apparently none of you have played the Outpost and all only have played the missions. Yes I can find ice when doing missions. It's easy. What I wanted to know where was the ice in the OUTPOST FOREST BIOME! Let me repeat that the OUTPOST FOREST BIOME. I already found the answer. There is none so making anything that requires ice in that outpost is a waste of time and resources.

if you dont see ice to pick up there you can use a shovle on the icy ground to get ice tho ;)

Shovel any snow you see on the ground and it should give you ice.
