FAILED TO RESUME PROSPECT AGAINST BACKEND (rpc error)

Seems like some had this issue resolved several days ago. However, I'm still getting this error. I've verified game files, updated graphics drivers and windows, tried both directx options (11 and 12), and made sure I'm not running the game as an admin.

I also, as a last option, tried reinstalling the game. No success.

Any other suggestions (before exiting the prospect)?

It's as if their copy on their end is looking at your copy or whatever it looks at, and refuses to allow you to load it.

I'm no coder so I could very well be talking out of me bum.

Same here. Just one day left and all the progresss will be gone... Not gonna start another character. It doesn't even look like the devs take care of this game breaking error. Never seen one of them answer to this problem. -.-"

Same here. i cant play with a lvl'd character, cause he stuck in some bug limbo. i dont want to start from scratch again.

Ok. Yesterday I hosted a prospect and my friend joined. We played fir a few hours till I realised there was only 3 days left to finish the mission so I podded out to orbit (was going out of town) so today (came back early) I began a new prospect and it worked for me. I'm 100% sure the "remove from prospect" will not work though. In order for one to remove their character from a prospect youd have to delete your character completely. Unacceptable.

whelp decided to get another toon a try... now that one is erroring out too on 020... may just step completely away from this game until its fix. Rip X_X. maybe this is the true end game? Get past the rpc error 020 menu boss.

so this bug will delete our character and his lvl`s and progress?

The bug will make your character unrecoverable. You'll simply watch, unable to resume or cancel the prospect, as your prospect time expires. By rule, any characters in a prospect that expires are considered abandoned & therefore die (permadeath). Fun, right?

Same here. Play solo on offline mode yet got RPC error which absolutely nonsense. I can't resume but still can restart the mission by spam claim prospect. Well, not really restart as the previous instance run still exist but can't remove nor resume.

Lost my character from this last night. I don't feel like putting more time into the game until after they've explicitly stated this bug is fixed.

Well I got the error -020 again. Some good news for this depressing thread... I was able to save my character! The "remove from prospects" button which didn't work last week is now working this week. Bummed I lost progress on that one mission. Hell at least I didnt lose another Bubba_DIck! lets gooo! still got my lvls!
