what happens when you go past the six day deadline?

Your character is completely gone. So get back in the pod and fail that way if you dont want to have your character deleted.

it´s 7 days, you die and your char is gone forever.

Is this ACTUALLY PROVEN? I would assume after 7 days of IRL time, if you don't complete the mission, your character would lose it's "contract", not get paid, and return to main ship in orbit. The actual character shouldn't be "deleted" or "wiped" You should still retain your level, talents, and blueprints.

If its actually getting close to deadline, just take dropship back up and reset the mission.

It's... Been in the game description for as long as the game has had a description. It's in the FAQ. It's in all articles. It's in the press release. So uh. Yes? You lose your character. That's the whole point of the deadline.

There's a large contingent of people here who apparently just buy things without reading anything about them, and then get mad when they're not what they wanted.

If you lose your character because you stay past the deadline it's your own fault...not the games or the developers. It has been yelled from the mountain tops and they even made a movie about the importance of getting back to your ship...you've been warned.

Permadeath. You lose everything. Your character, everything. You have to create a new Character meaning back to level 0 for ya. If you go back to the station before you finish the map missions you have to start again on that map. Only grace is that you save your character from deletion.

This is the dumbest design decision I've ever heard.

So you can get mauled by animals over and over and come back to life no problem, but if your internet goes down, or your computer breaks, or something keeps you busy for when you plan to return to orbit, now you lose your character?

Uninstalling right now.

Pretty sure I've seen that confirmed yeah, at least my characters share to pool so only makes sense really.

All the people unable to continue their prospects due to the 019 and 020(rpc) errors is that due to them, the game or the developers :D

The remove from prospects button in the main menu doesn't do anything either. We're just slowly watching a timer go down until our character gets deleted.

Next time, please read the FAQ of a game before buying said game. It'll save you a lot of frustration and anger.
