how to harvest polar bears?

I keep killing polar bears as they attack my base. Can't seem to harvest them for polar gear though. What do I need to harvest them?

Do you have the polar bear armor recipe? You will only loot their hides then you have to make that into the clothing

You need a tier 2 knife. Steel or better, I believe. I don't think the iron knife works.
