Talent Point Increase Experimental Patch
Week 12 Update Experimental Branch Notes (Version # Pending Build)
Changed level 99 cap to an infinite leveling system which repeats once you reach level 50 to infinitely rewards blueprint points.
Increased Talent point soft cap from stopping at level 40 with 48 total spendable talent points, to continue to level 50, with 60 total spendable talent points.
Added solo talent points. The solo talent tree now uses its own talent points for progression, these are not shared with the other more general talent trees.
Added several new talents to the solo tree, and adjusted the layout of existing talents.
Added graphics setting option for contact shadows - an inexpensive way of rendering shadows
Fixed issue where distant mountains in outposts were not casting shadows correctly.
Fixed issue with visual artifacts in the distance.
Fixed not being able to remove the player waypoint by double clicking
Fixed issue where player could have more than one waypoint
Fixed waypoint markers not being given the correct colour
Fixed further instances of some water bodies (especially rivers) missing fish.
Improved the description of the hunting rifle to clarify that it is semi-automatic

So.... does that mean we'll have the effects of regular talents AND solo talents in effect when we play solo?

I have mixed feelings.

Not sure how I feel about the talents and leveling changes... may be a clarity thing in my interpretation of what's being said. It seems that it really doesn't resolve the "no point after level 40ish" character progression problem. Just moves it up to 50. Still no respec. BP points aren't really needed, since most of the BP's aren't really relevant in-game and are just "feature padding".

I like the segregated solo tree points... provided they are awarded in parallel with the common talent tree points.

If "Fixing visual artifacts in the distance" is not having objects go low-res blurry further than 20 feet away, I'm all for that.

So half of this is fixing something they screwed up the last time they "fixed" something(which was previously "fixed" from another "fix") - seriously, test your product changes prior to release. How many times do you end up deleting fish and have to go back and make it right?

Now if they can implement this without resetting the characters and items...........

That's a good question, bit OP if so.. My guess would be that you can have 2 builds on one character, one for solo, one for group. Solo is disabled when in group, or something like that.

EDIT: After checking the talents on beta, we are screwed if we dont get regular and solo talents when being solo.. I hope you are correct it is both..

Hopefully your regular talents still work in solo I don’t know why they wouldn’t because they work now.

Talent Point and Blueprint changes need to be accompanied by optional resets/respecs.

at level 99 you have enough blueprint to get almot all of the items in the tree... and if don't have a click issue, at level 40 you can have all the important tech talent point unlock.
For the talent point, great news if we can have the whole solo tree + 60 more point for the rest.

More is better than “almost” all.

I would like if every time you hit level 100 you get a "veterancy" bump to stats, then reset level to 1 keeping all your progress and you start getting talent points again to a certain level, then when you hit 100 again ding another veterancy stat boost and back to 1 for more talent earning.
