Deep Vein Exotics

Are Deep Vein Exotics only able to be mined (in the deep vein with the extractor) in only the PAYDAY contract?

Yep, I use that map. Its super handy. My wonder was about the Deep vein that is found at the top of J 12 in the PAYDAY mission. Are those big, 6/7 biofuel cans needed veins found in any other mission. Wasn't quite sure.

The average vein seems to be 157. I take 6 cans of biofuel for all exotics. I get 30 exotics per can and I usually get 157 per vein.

My yield so far for exotic veins outside of the payday extraction mission has been as high as 183 exotics, and as low as 111.

I bring only 3 pre-filled cans, and the biofuel composter & mortar and pestle. I just refill the cans as I go along. I have the talent that lets you break wood down into sticks, so making stuff to fuel the composter is super easy.

the deep ore veins need the new drill to mine them, there's a bio fuel one in T3 and an electric one in T4.
The exotic veins need the extractor opened up by doing the Payday: Extraction. mission.
I've been able to get between 144 and 249 ore from exotic veins so far, usually takes around 7-9 tanks of bio fuel (2 or 3 extractors crafted At Site, make it easier and faster)
I haven't hit up a deep ore vein yet, but apparently they're worthwhile, but slow to mine.
Last mission I did was in the southern desert area and the deep ore veins were in almost Every cave.

The deep ore "deposits" in the caves use the Drill. I like the idea of them but they take sooooo long to mine and if you log off it turns the drill off so you have to run back to the cave and activate it again. I don't like that. The output is almost not worth it either. got about 200ish copper after about 6 hours.
