Icarus
Oxygen
You can't have fire without oxygen. So how do plants and animals from an earth environment can survive without oxygen? Will you have an explanation for this in the game because their are some people just happen to know a thing or two about science. There is things in our planets history while large dinosaurs were around when our planet had an over abundance of plant life and when most such plant life was destroyed that only smaller animals could survive the lack of oxygen.

A bear that is 5x my weight needs to breath the same air that I do. If that bear is running around full speed without collapsing, then there are no toxins in the air and the air is breathable for a 150 pound human. It's basic common sense, you don't even need to get into the science. This ain't hard y'all. As it is, the game makes no sense.
I agree also with the points made above about the vegetation. If you got deciduous trees, you got oxygen, and plenty of it. That's what leaves on trees do: they take in the CO2 during daylight and release O2. That's a bit more scientific, but I think everyone in developed countries is taught about photosynthesis by the time they are 13 or 14 years old. Once again, this ain't hard. We can all take off our space suits on Icarus. Oxygen presence is confirmed !!!
Tools like unreal engine have no oxygen, but trees and animals. Just simple
I presumed there was oxygen but its poisonous and the mutated animals are breathing it. Too much presumption?

Is there a mod that gets rid of the Oxygen Requirement for Open world players?

This person is whining about O2, meanwhile I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how you catch pneumonia in the caves while wearing a self-contained environmental suit...

It's not a self-contained enviromental suit. It's about equivalent to fire-fighter gear or scuba gear. Both will protect you from chemicals -- toxic smoke, and water respectively -- but neither will protect you 100% from biological threats.

Pneumonia is a bacterial infection of the lungs. Bacteria can and will crawl through seals and the wrong way up one-way valves while chemicals will not.

Is the sickness exaggerated for the game? Yes, in both speed and scope. But so is the cure and prevention medication. /shrug
Imho there is oxygen. You still can breath for a long time without oxygen supply in your suit. The suit is rather to be understood as assistence like the ones fighter pilots are wearing.

In the lore of this game, the bear is part of the fauna of this "planet". You are not.
Let's keep the train (t)rolling...

Humanity have mastered rocketry... but seems to start out with stone tools... did the people in the Stone Age have rocket scientist?

Terraforming derailed catastrophically, lacing the oxygen atmosphere with toxins like cyanide, and decimating native life across vast regions of the planet.
Before leaving, however, the team’s biologists completed one final act: genetic adjustments to their plant and animal payloads, genomic improvements that allowed Earth species to filter toxins from the atmosphere. Released onto the surface, these variants took root, then thrived at ground zero of the failed ‘terrazones’.
