Dlc so soon?!
I dont get it? Why 2 dlcs are planned if we cannot play even the base game yet? Not the best way to start an unpredictable game.

I'm curious about this to the more I read the more questions I have, I keep reading that the more alien stuff is in the DLC content, but I'm curious why it's not in the main launch, it's a full release right? Is the game not ready to be released and it'll arrive in pieces, is there going to be a monthly story we can follow about the Icarus divers (us) and how much exotics in total we've been collecting and sending back to earth....SO much questions..it feels like so much of the good stuff is being held for the DLC.

Stop and think about it just for a second...
It is VERY clear the DLC's will extend the area's you can explore/exploit.
To anyone with HALF a brain that would make perfect sense.


Or.

They make the maps so small they have to add dlc maps.
And people will pay for them.

The map is already developed, so seeing DLC now just means they are planning for pay wall. Not looking good.

Developed and untested by the user bases.. yea that makes sense.. and if the map has serious issues in the first week - good luck with that.

It's not out of the ordinary for dlc to be planned before release of a game. End of the day, once the game has got to a certain point, there will be people who will not have anything to do on that project, and so can be moved to the dlc, while the base game is being finished up.

This is not saying the dlc will be released on launch. Infact, its mentioned that the dlc will be released after the base game has been released.

Hey all,

We aren't looking at our DLC's as a "paywall" but are adding them to compliment our base game. We want your journey to evolve over time, and keep you engaged and interested! :)

I believe you. But my point is, We dont know the game. Neither is a franchise. So we do not know what to expect. I wish I could explain my self better.

how disappointing that the people who prepurchase and support this wont get the DLC passes , i think id rather refund this right now, and the so called delux edition is 3 TIMES! the price of the base game, this is indeed a paywall

..What?

If you prepurchase the delux edition, you get the dlcs when they are released...as they can't give them to you until they are actually made. If you prepurchase the base game...you don't get the dlc as you didnt buy them yet.

Not sure why thats such a new idea...its the way all sorts of other companies have done it.

If you've followed the streams and the discord chatter, especially the episodes, RW has shown that they are focused on building stable environments that can be built upon. So DLCs will be stable as well, working off proven builds, and some of that work has been done already as the launch game expands and contracts with various changes along the path to release. Its quality stuff and the team is very open about progression. Cheers
