Episode1.wad for doom64 (now with Episode 2 completed!)
Episode1.wad its basically Knee Deep in the Dead from Ultimate doom into DooM64, dont worry i didnt a copy paste the original levels, i made the maps from scratch following the original layout but redesigning some areas, didnt added new areas and even if i do wouldnt be a big path were you get lost. also if it required i will have to modify some areas due monsters hitbox are bigger on doom64 than doom so this most likely would mean to expand some areas.

i also respect the monster placement frm the original maps as much as i can and if i think its needed change some like former human to shotgun guy.

If for some reason the NO Steam Version dont works (as it have custom music from Doom1 PSX and map info to name the levels and the end story text). try the Steam version which is only the levels.

For some odd reason the map works in steam official port but its seems the steam port and the Doom64ex sourceport shares some different linedef actions and swicht display so i may recommend to try it with Doom64 official port until i find it why dont works in steam port (swicht dont display or armor area dont open after killing the enemies)

my bad jaja i mean dont try it with the official port, but works fine with doom64ex. im already asking about this since why offiacial port dont display swichtes correctly or why some macros dont trigger after certai nactions.

Episode 1 map 3 done and with the help a friend he made me saw what were the problems with the previous maps, should work with the official port, if still have troubles then maybe until doom64 official port get and update and meanwhile try with doom64ex.

Episode 1 map 4 will take a bit longer as i have to do some home office so will start working on it this friday.

I shouldn't have waited so long to play these! I played them on this Nightdive re-release and didn't encounter any problems with the maps (although I didnt find all the secrets). I really like your choices in the Doom 64 gritty textures and the colored lighting you added. Plus your detailing with extra geometry is nice. It gives a new feel to Doom 1 maps and I am looking forward to map 4!

Oh and do you have a Doomworld post for these?

no i decided it to post it here first later in doomworld when i finish the wad as i finish these in 2 or 4 days, it helps me to get inspiration to work back on my own doom64 proyect and to get rid out of my mappers block.

but right now my mind its set to fnish the entire episode 1, so as soon i get into mappers block again i can go with episode 2.

There is a couple options, you can go into the steam launch options for Doom 64 and add the command...

-file "episode1.wad"

Where you replace episode1.wad with the location and name of the file. Here's a good guide on getting to the steam launch options for Doom 64: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2027379157

Another option is using a program like ZDL to launch Doom 64 with mods. It requires a bit of set up, but it works with other Doom ports like GZDoom and Zandronum as well: https://github.com/lcferrum/qzdl/releases

Let me know if you can't get it working! I know sometimes loading saves between different levels can be a bit bugged it seems, but I think the Doom 64 passwords will work in getting you to desired levels.

After a while and took a bit of time E1M4 is ready to play now going to work in E1M5 almost done with all the maps. phew
