Demo Updated for Steam Next Fest

Divinum demo is now updated to 0.39.1 with extended story prologue and huge improvements to animations, movement, and combat flow. Try the updated demo and find out who arrived at the island aboard the mysterious ships!

Saves from previous versions may work, but it is recommended to make a new one, at least for the prologue, or you will miss content. This is the final content update for the demo.

Great Demo. Instant buy on launch but the game cover/poster needs to change

Great Demo with lot of thought put into it that left me craving more in the end but the game cover/poster needs to change! It looks generic like a scammy mobile game ad and it’s going to be pushing away many potential players. It does a huge disservice the art style in-game. I’m so glad I discovered this demo through a gameplay ad on Reddit and not through this cover art. Devs, please reconsider the cover art for this game. With that out of the way, the combat seems to draw elements from multiple game...

Demo is now playable!

Divinum demo is now available! It includes a story prologue and a mid-game combat slice with a wide variety of enemies, abilities, and a new major mechanic. Lots of new content that didn't exist in the playtest, and old things that have been reworked: you can try it right now!

If you're interested, here's more details on what's new from the playtest version:

Changes/additions:

- Added a separate map button (default: Tab/Select).

- Added a combo counter and a new game mechanic related to it unlockable in the combat challenge mode.

- Added an alternative Uppercut that keeps you on the ground, performed by quick-tapping up+attack instead of holding it.

- Added magnet effect for collecting Sanctite.

- Rune menu now also shows the number of collected Life and Mana shards.

- Shop interface now can contain more items at once.

- Normal block now has a wider window, however if you run out of Mana after blocking, you receive a strong stun.

- Perfect block is now a bit harder to pull off and gives less i-frames, but there is a Counter move available now (only in combat challenge mode in the demo).

- Added a charged Fallstrike attack (only combat challenge).

- Added a mid-air alternative to Stinger: attack quickly after phase dashing mid-air to perform a wide slash. (only combat challenge).

- New Skill: Incinerate. Launch a fireball to pursue your foes. Upon reaching a target, explodes and splits into smaller seeking flames. (only combat challenge).

- Drastically improved projectile deflection accuracy.

- Some enemies, like ghosts and undead that didn't have any stagger resistance previously, now have a small amount of it.

- Ghosts' burning ground can now be removed with attacks.

- Charged attack is now much more responsive.

- Base Mana regeneration is now slightly lower.

- Strength rune became Ambition: Heal restores 1 additional HP. If you don't have Heal equipped, Skills deal 30% increased damage.

- Heal now has its own, general skill group, instead of sword skill group. This will be relevant in the future.

- Visual enhancements of many animations, environments, sounds and UI.

- Tons of other fixes and adjustments.

Bug fixes:

- Some enemies that could move outside of arenas now shouldn't be able to do this.

- Intuition (dodge rune) only worked against projectiles due to a bug. This is now fixed. Now gives 15% chance to dodge.

- Fixed a bug with Blink and Impale not bypassing enemy blocks, like all skills should.

- Fixed a bug with Fallstrike not taking enemies down with you. Now also works on flying enemies (and is quite effective at it!)

- Fixed a visual bug when Rune reward texts were not shown after completing a trial (was the case with Sign of Courage).

- Defeated bosses shouldn't reappear anymore.

- Fixed a bug where DualSense gamepad wasn't recognized correctly and Xbox glyphs were shown instead.

- Fixed abrupt audio transitions on scene change

Playtest Wrap-Up & Next Steps

The playtest is coming to an end by the end of this week, and it has been incredibly helpful in shaping the game! You guys filled a total of 422 feedback forms with thoughtful, supportive, and encouraging comments.

Most of the commonly mentioned issues are already being addressed, with many improvements already implemented.

Fury

I just did the challenge, but I didn't get how to use fury or how active the skill from Fury. Because it's the same bottom of the attack. Maybe I just stupid, but can someone explain to me? This game looks nice, but the magician with a circle of magic is the worst enemy in this game....

Demo Feedback

Hi, I just tried this demo and it's been one of the best I've seen during this Demo Fest, which is saying a lot. The combat is smooth, fast, intuitive and fun, and the animations work just perfectly, you made such a great job! My only concern is about the variety of the content, as in the demo you can unlock almost all the skills already, I'm pretty sure the runes will provide some variety in the combat, but I'm wondering if there will be other weapons and what is the expected duration for the final game?...

Amazing, Just Amazing but I do have some question/requests.

I finally had free time and got a chance to play the demo and I love it. (I played it twice) The little bit of story present seems interesting. The design/style, the atmosphere, the combat and controls are all wonderful. It's much easier to chain combos with a controller, I struggled using keyboard later on so I switched. Enjoyed the demo for the most part, but...

The game felt great. Amazing controls, and combat that rewards skill, attention and good reflexes. I liked it a lot, until it started to wear out its welcome. I just hope the game isn't overloaded with arena battles. I stopped short of finishing the demo because I was getting bored with the repetitive fights. And the lead character design couldn't be more dull. She just looks like the most generic thing ever. While the game feels good, there's nothing memorable or interesting about the character, and that...
