UFO 50
Pilot Quest Cherry
I've already beaten this game three times, and I'm tired of it. I just want to get the cherry and put it to bed. Is there a reliable way to do that NOW rather than keep replaying it to get bonuses?

Farm up like 50 Zoldaks or whatever the coins are called. When you're ready to do the run, go to the NPC in one of the dungeons (it's random which) who trades 2 coins (not 3) for an energy boost and trade them all. This lets you easily complete the cherry requirements on even the first run. Make sure you have the gun, as it's the only way to effectively fight the boss normally. Having a fully upgraded yoyo is useful too, in case he gets stuck (you can yoyo him against a wall repeatedly if you can get him into the right spot), and to be able to one-shot the worms he summons.

What's the best way to get coins? Just run around the map and kill everything that moves?

This is basically what I did. I would argue the gun is too weak to kill enemies though and to use your upgraded yoyo. If you are ever in danger of running out of energy just go back and buy more
Yeah i didnt play for buffs.
Just make sure you have a great amount of coins and a good clear path to your cheapest energy refill green guy.

only check where he *can* be on the map using teleporters;
-far top left (head shaped grass layout)
-far left forest (at the top where it connects to the next area above)
-the unktomi/big spider ruins
-under the spider ruins to the right (left of bridge to cave island thats right next to a teleporter)
-the crabs and chest area with multiple big shells around mid/top map?
-crabs and chest right under the cave that you get to by basically just going right as soon as you start the run/timer [past the first cave island(may be blocked off in your seed)
-right above where you start the run/timer
-right under the closest boss (purple bombs and lightning guy)

*sorry if inaccurate descriptions or if i missed anything
its been a while for me*

Gun is effective for safe and quick dps
but if you got wizard yoyo, tanking hits and wailing on him isnt bad as long as you have the health/time :Q2_Turtle:

Are you joking? The loops are completely optional. You can get the cherry at the same time as the gold.

Oh yeah, also make sure you have all the ship parts from the dungeons so that the boss can actually spawn. (I don't think the fuel is required, but it doesn't hurt to have it too.) Definitely don't want to trade in your money when you're not eligible.

Not really sure what the best strategy is for getting a lot of coins. Probably just killing the concentrations of tougher overworld enemies, breaking pots where they appear, and maybe dipping into dungeons for the rooms with multiple chests (although I'm not sure how worthwhile this is when you consider the need to walk back out).
