Not getting achieves for defeating titans without getting hit

So, I am having trouble with GBR and GCT achievement for defeating them without getting hit.
I have done it, 3 times now.
I turn off auto kill in the settings.
I turn off Idle mode.
I use paralyze immediately as they spawn, then Ultimate right after.

Looking at the battle log, there is no red text, nothing stating that they hit me, only my attack and the defeated/loot text.

Is there something I'm missing here?
Should I forget about the paralyze and just use my attack immediately?

If you are strong enough to defeat the weakest in one hit then don't bother with paralyze.

tried that as well, now, on both. Regular attack as soon as they spawn, still nada

Bumping in case someone else has an idea as to what I'm doing wrong.

The icon for the achievement doesn't change, it's just not dimmed out. Can you verify that you don't actually have the achievement by hovering your mouse over it (page 2, row 2, last icon) and seeing what it says?

Are you running any mods?

If you want, send me your save and I might be able to figure it out.

hmm... I guess Steam just doesn't want to give them to me, but they are completed on the game... didn't know the game showed them. That could be useful info!

Ahh, you meant steam achievements... I think I remember they only update when the game starts ... not sure, but worth a try. Close the game and start it back up.

Oh, you were waiting for a steam achievement that doesn't exist, that explains why it wasn't working I guess.

Welcome to the "I want to find a hole somewhere and wait until nobody remembers that" club.
If it makes it any better you are absolutely not alone in there, many of us have been there for a long time, with relapses every now and then too.

Now I can focus strictly on finished both of Walderps sets, getting UUG's special ring for the first time, and getting high enough to beat easy Beast and get quests...
but damn do i feel dumb lol
