Intelligence is a stat better suited for Sorcery, Occultism, Malediction, and the offensive skills in Songcraft that do damage. It affects Magic accuracy, magic attack, magic critical rate, magic evasion, and increases your maximum mana by 12 per point of intelligence.
Spirit however is the stat for tanks and healers, as it directly affects your parry rate, your critical heal rate, magic accuracy, mana regen, and increases your healing power by 0.2 per point of spirit.
Someone with higher spirit is going to have better healing that someone without it, and is going to have a much stronger holy bolt.
Get to lvl 55, and then get your Ancestral levels. I can tell you, as a previous Glass healer, I could out heal any DPS. They would literally have to kill me first, to deal any damage worth while. Also, learn how to combo healing skills together, and read all the passives with the skill sets. It's essential when creating your healer build, as certain things are needed and others are worthless.
You want both. More Spirit over INT, but still some INT for mana/mana regen. The method I found best, was to slap INT on either my chest or 2-handed, and then slap spirit everywhere else. Tends to give me plenty enough Spirit and enough INT to deal with things. But I'm also a glass healer that values spirit over int and survivability.
every PVP group is all DPS and 1 person with songcraft for more damage. thats it nothing else. why nothing else because everything dies in 1-2 hits anyways.
