Yellow = Physical
Blue = Magical
White = True Damage
I mean before you attack something, like there's a bunch of skulls around that I get and I can't tell if it's worth switching to it or not.
Like I try to build full physical and then gets across a grim reaper skull, then I use it and the normal attack is physical, but everything else is magical it kinda messes me up.
EDIT: Just came across the legendary fighter, and you'd think that's purely physical but all his abilities are magical wtf.
Also, whenever you complete a room (not the shop), it will spawn several test dummies by the doors to the next room where you can test the changes or damage of any new items or skull you chose to pick up.
Unless I'm blind there doesn't seem to be any dummies after the miniboss (heroes?) battle where you get a choice between skull, active item, passive item.
I see, so do most people just build magic damage then? since physical attack seems really weak.
Magic is usually the most consistent and reliable damage form. A phys build with the right skulls can do a lot of damage but you need the right skulls and there are only 3 skulls that really make physical shine. Crit builds can deal a lot of damage (and a lot of numbers) but you need some specific items though most skulls can do well in a crit build. Really depends on what items and skulls you roll but magic is the safer bet more often than not.
I usually end up choosing skulls based on what the first nine items I've found are. Or if I have a really good skull early, I'll try to choose items which compliment it. But sometimes the game just gives you +phys items on an archmage with meteor and it's heart breaking. So I end up trading it out for a physical damage skull.
