Where is in-game menu?

I tried to press all buttons on my game controller and could not pull up any menu. I want to save game / quit / change audio video options.
Finally I have to press ALT F4 to quit the game.

not sure for controller, i used keyboard, for keyboard, opening item is TAB, and the pause menu is Esc, in controller, the equivalent button that came to mind should be select and start
