Is this one of those games..
So I stumbled on this game and decided to give it a go. Don't tell me this is one of those games where when you die you start again and keep going until you die, and do runs, like Trinity Fusion and ravenbound? I died and had to start each time back at the castle again.

This definetely feels like one of these games like Ravenbound and Trintity Fusin. Clear out all the enemies spawning around you, power up, move to next level or get killed and start again :( I had high hopes for this game, but after learning its like Ravenbound, its bit of a turn off

Do you read the tags of a game or do any research before buying it? It has never been hidden that Skul is a rogue lite. Sorry that you bought it thinking it was something else but be careful when you buy anything.

I do read the description yes. I decided to give it a go, After playing it I suspected it was a bit of a roguelike or souls like or difficult, What brought me to the game was the pixelart :)
I figured after a while its like Ravenbound where each time you die you start over, I was hoping it was a bit of an adventure where you clean out enemies and upgrades, thats ok it was fun for a while.

yes, it's annoying to have to start over every single run, but that's also what makes it fun. unlike some other games, if you die you dont just get to restart the level, and it also sorta trains you to be able to beat bosses more easily, but it also doesn't let you only have one concrete play style, it more throws a problem at you (this being the combination of skulls you decide to take) and it sees how you can adapt to it. if it's not for you, that's fine, but i initially thought it wasn't for me, then tried it again, and now i almost beat the third boss.it is really a fun game, and i hope you can put your opinion aside, and just play a couple of runs.

I liked the Lion Head I got, that thing tore enemies apart, I was thrashing the enemies until i finally died. I like the Pixel art definitely its alright but this game definitely reminds me of ravenbound where everytime you die you start again :)

yeah, it really is difficult. i don't know if you know this, but if you go into the game settings, you can turn on rookie mode, which makes all damage you take halved. i don't think i would get past the first boss without it on.

I did see the settings yes and saw a Rookie Mode. I havent tried this yet, but all the soldiers were doing so much damage, I lasted up to 2nd level and died and then started again with some iother costume, and then died again and came back with a lion head, that was powerful for a while. I think I might have to try Rookie Mode

Rookie mode just halves the damage of all enemy mobs, off the top of my head. One caveat being that, as far as I remember, you won't unlock Hard Mode for clearing a run in Rookie Mode. Nice way to get used to the gameplay though.

Maybe i should try Rookie Mode, but still its a game like the ones i mentioned, Ravenbound

I used rookie mode and still able to unlock hard mode but you cant use rookie mode in hard mode (the game will not let you togle it on in option).
