Physical damage item feels too weak compared to magic
Moving from EA to Launch and with stage 4 being a thing, it just feel really weak now to play Physical damage, especially the short range speed type, compared to say, mages like Alchemist or even Royal Guard where majority of your damage comes from exploding people with magic damage on the skills.

There are way too many factors to look for when you want a strong hard hitting physical attackers. Attack speed, Crit, Crit damage, Attack damage and on-hit along with a bunch of passive that give you more attack. There are also type-specific stuff you must try and get or you won't hit as hard or be as tanky.

This is extra bad on speed characters with split damage on their skills. Werewolf for one was one of my Fav on EA but playing him through act 4 is atrocious even when fully upgraded. You pretty much have to RNG roll his bite skill out because that 100 bite damage won't be useful even for securing a last hit to heal.

Meanwhile, if I pick up a heavy magic damager , I can always just aim for the Fairy set and just stack Magic Attack. There's almost no reason to deviate since the game gives you so much % for magic attack compared to physical damage. Grabbing legendary orbs like Raven is an lol 95% Magic attack borderline autowin since your skills now OHKO all the non-boss and once you get a bit of the fairy stuff going, the game is on autoplay mode. It takes so little work to get to like 300% Magic attack on top of huge base damage.

Not saying that you can't finish the game with physical damage btw, just saying that once you just stroll your way through the game with a magic build, you really feel bad going to physical outside just wanting to have a more dynamic gameplay over "1 button wipe room"

i agree. Magic damage Builds have it far easier then Physical. Doesnt help that the hardest hitting Physical Skuls are quite bad (Hello Warrior and his upgrades... hitting hard sure but being so slow..). And then Magic Builds also have acess to the super strong Ice Skull and the Blizzard skills.. you just wipe out entire screens while the enemies cant even retaliate at all.

Not to mention that many "magical" skulls have various ways of been invulnerable and avoiding damage. Frost skull felt insane when with lots of skill cooldown reduction/reset items I was sitting in his shell ignoring any and all incoming damage while freezing and killing everything around. Or Grim Reaper who murders a huge area with his basic skill while still been invulnerable to damage. Genie that can too hide in his lamp.
There is even a joke when you have Warlock who can charge Meteor and other skills while running and dashing around compared to Ranger (upgraded) who has to stand still forever charging his mediocre skills (not to mention most of his skills can only hit horizontally in comparison to said Warlock or Alchemist).
And it is sad as many Power/Physical skulls look awesome and have some fun skills to use, but why would you?

The recent patch that just turn more physical damage into magical instead to also benefit from doing the same magic stacking isn't really bringing up my confidence.

I feel like the best power skull in the game would have to be the fully upgraded Predator with Physical damage (Destroyer) skull, I ran it along Minotaur 3 and completely destroyed everything.
