Xbox controller problem

Everything works perfectly when I play with my Xbox controller, but after a few minutes I lose control of the character and the FPS drops to 4-5 FPS until the menu jumps and the cycle repeats. Is it happening to someone else? I use a wireless controller.

Do you use Xbox series controller? If yes, update your controller's firmware in Xbox Accessories app from MS Store.

I've had the the same problem and updating the Xbox accessories app (ver.300.2011.9001.0) couldn't solve the problem.
As a solution, now playing the game with the Xbox series controller wired with a usb-c cable (an general cable not the MS genuine) and working fine.
I know it's not the best way but better than unplayable.

I didn't know that I had to update the controller itself when connected with pc with a cable (I thought updating the app on pc would be suffice).
After updating the firmware in the controller, I thought the problem was solved but it persists grr...

I use an Xbox ONE controller and I've never had that problem before...

I'm sorry to hear that you're having the issue. We found out some issues only happen when it's connected wirelessly. So please try to use the controllers with a cable at the moment. We'll try our best to solve it asap!

i use the xbox one controller with the pc adaptor and I have not seen any problem so im not sure.

I tried wirelessly and wired , does not work for me either

I know I the controller works , because I can get into the game when it says " press any key" but I cannot move or do anything when the game starts.

update: I have also updated the controller to the latest firmware as suggested above , unfortunatelly it has not solved anything , The controller works 100% , works on other games , It also works when on the press anything screen .. but nothing after that. Please fix this.

Used an Xbox One controller that was working on Patch 1.02 and it is no longer working. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting, reinstalling drivers etc. Nothing works. Also tried a wired Xbox 360 controller. Also does not work.

I will be requesting a refund if this is not rectified shortly. Controllers work with LITERALLY EVERY OTHER GAME ON STEAM.

I hope they fix it for you. It might be hard for them to reproduce every issue cuz its not affecting everyone. My Xbox series controller with pc adapter works just fine.

Not sure if there are more recent fixes thatn included on this thread, but my controller will usually work and then drop out 5-10 minutes into the game, and then drop out more frequently. When I restart the game I get about another 5-10 mins uninterrupted and it drops out. I also use the controller with the PC for Disco Elysium, Cuphead, Dome Keeper, Hades, and none of these games' play is affected.
