Thoughts on the skull types

As it is right now, i only have 3 wins under my belt, but ive gotten close a number of times and i have pretty much decided which skulls are my favorite and which ones i find underwhelming
So far ive won with
Reaper/archlich (that was an insanely lucky run with both skulls and items)
Berserker/genie
Dark Paladin/Living armor
At first i hated power skulls and tried to avoid them generally. They felt weak against bosses compared to balance and speed and i just didnt enjoy using them. My opinion has pretty much flipped since when i started playing. I now find that speed skulls are the ones that are hardest to progress with. Power skulls, while often clunky, are tankier and take advantage of windows of opportunity. Speed skulls feel great early game but scale poorly in my experience. My best speed skull run was probably with the werewolf skull but even then i barely made it to the 4th area.

Note: These are not in any particular order and my opinion varies. I want to like the bomber skull but without the kaboom skill it feels so underwhelming.

Oddly enough, I got furthest with a fully leveled Pike than I did with Reaper and Archlich. I used to hate the skeleton skulls until I started to upgrade them. Pike does crazy damage and I had dash attacks freeze so every attack I had had a chance to freeze. It was really fun.

I've had some fun with the pike and sword skull, even the shield skull is pretty solid.
