Noob Tips?

Really enjoying the game so far.

Are you penalized at all for turning off / on Rookie Mode? How does the general flow of the game work? Any other things you HAVE to know? Thanks!

Never tried Rookie mode so i can't say on that. The game flow is generally random enemy rooms broken up by a skull room, shop or very rare treasure room then hero(miniboss) room repeat with the third set being a full boss rather than a miniboss. Which rooms you get are random but the rooms themselves are not so you will start getting familiar with what enemies spawn in which room.

Really its all about pattern recognition plus getting some skulls you like to use. As for things to do I personally say get the invincibility while dashing skill asap game just feels wrong without it but thats almost certainly personal bias. Also when you fill up on items you can go into your menu and choose which one to get rid of if you find another you like you don't have to just switch the one it drops automatically.

I'm also loving the game so far and I've just recently managed to beat all the content so if you have any more specific questions I can try and help. I just don't want to be spoilery if your just starting.

I can also add a good skull combo's . The Minotaur With The Bludgeon Skill, And the Warrior With the Mighy Strike . You first Use the Bludgeon and Stun a group of strong enemies./mini boss . ( does not work on Big Bosses Like The Leiana Sisters /) . Then You Swicth Fast To warrior. And Hold The Button to activate Might Strike. Then attack. when its fully charged. Its a Great Combo That Makes The Warrior Practical In Minibosses . and Compensates for His Lack of Speed in attacks.(anyone any other Ideas?)

Get hp/damage reduction while you learn a new part of the game - then, after you know how to deal with it, get damage items to breeze through everything.

Speaking Of. Does the Palladins armor's Effect Stack with the Standard Issue's Carleon Armor?

Yes, everything stacks. You can get something like 65% damage reduction (under certain circumstances).
