The anime, the manga, or the light novel.

I didn't like the changes in the anime and hopes there is not just a retelling of the anime, but the light novel. The anime was rush to the 2nd glass fight, where ending that would have been better was the trial, in where Naofumi's name is clear, the king and Malty is tried, a preview of the next part of their journey.

I think the anime was adapted from the light novel, so if you don't like the anime you'll probably don't like the novels too, so it's pointless to read that.

For me, I like the manga, but it's kinda slow. At this rate, the anime might go faster than the manga eventually since they just announced S2 and 3.

I haven't read the light novel but I have read the web novel and the manga, too. But the anime changed the trial in Ep20 or 21. You have seen the manga. That was in the web novel and the light novel by my knowledge of a youtube video check what content was cut in the anime.

Blasphemy. The anime changes so much from the light novel that it can hardly be called based. The anime only adapted right until episode 12 or so, it really goes downhill fast after it gets to middle of Volume 3 of novel.
