Double/Triple the Pom of Power rewarded amounts
Why? Because leveling up skills right now doesn't boost that much with the dripping amount of it. Pom of Power rooms in the current state are 100% targets to use a Fated Authority on them with due to how small are the benefits, even when "skull" rooms double the quantity of levels. Nectar with the Contractor upgrade gives the exact same effect as a normal Pom room too, which makes them obsolete.

I ask that instead those rooms give out two or three (with a Contractor upgrade) of them so that it isn't obsolete. The chance of 6 levels spread in 3 skills sounds like an interesting thing to perhaps chase. And even if only two levels, at least that makes it not want to roll it into Nectar, specially once relationships are maxed.

Of course, our favorite muse would need the Pom Porridge to double/triple effects - either farther spread or amount of levels OR both.

I was thinking that perhaps x3/x5 amounts would be good, but perhaps that is too much - due to the x6 and x10 spread levels in skulled rooms. Or perhaps that might be what is needed. I leave this as a last bit just in case that it might not be too unreasonable.

nectar is completely random which boon gets hit. Poms of power are choose between 3 so poms are without a doubt better than nectar.

Next you are asking to make your boons level even faster that's nuts to me. You're basically asking boons to level 6 times faster which is a huge change.

I mean I already think the level system is completely fine and balanced to be with poms as a tier 2 item pickup (basic resource being tier 1 and boons being tier 3, with 2 being hearts cons and poms)

The game is about finding synergy not leveling your boons into oblivion

Flatly increasing the number of Poms a room gives seems over the top to me, to be honest. But it also feels like they could use a contractor upgrade of some sort.

I must agree that Poms are quite lackluster when compared to a hammer/a new boon or two a room might otherwise offer. Thus, I like to pass them when there are better alternatives, too. On the other hand, I keep rerolls for the Temple of Styx mostly, for when I am hunting for THE boon that is missing from the run, like a Legendary or Duo Boon. So sometimes I just take a Pom over going into a Charon room broke, or yet another Centaur Heart.

Still, they have their uses when you are rounding out your build. The first level up of a boon gives decent value, and the second is still OK in most cases - the diminishing returns hurt afterwards. Improving your key boons can be better than picking up yet another boon that has barely any connection to the rest. That's why Poms work well when bought in Charon's shop.

On builds with few boons, the get-two-for-the-price-of one appeal of upgraded Nectars trumps Poms. Chances are good they proc on a boon you want upgraded. The more boons you have, the lower are the odds that the random upgrade lands where you want it. If your boon collection gets cluttered, it really helps that you have a better chance to direct an upgrade to where it truly matters.

Take note that Poms and Nectars are in different reward pools, so you can't change a Pom room into a Nectar room. You can turn the Reward Pool system to your advantage: If you have three blue-wreathed rooms with Darkness, Gems and Keys, respectively, spending a Fated Authority on any gate will net you a guaranteed Nectar.

Have you tried the Aphrodite/Poseidon Duo?

I honestly believe you have no idea about what is game balance and you just want to go for a power fantasy ... It is perfectly fine as it is and if you get something to around +5 or more the skill becomes crazy. Artemis' cast can easily crit for over 1k damage, hunting blades with upgraded cast can literally melt anything and Zeus' just auto-aim wipes half of the map with that and you are suggesting to make it that way after a single Pom of power?
