Game won’t start on my steam deck

I bought Hades for my Steam Deck because it’s on sale right now. I’ve chosen to run it with Vulkan because that’s what makes sense, but when I try to start the game it just sits there saying “downloading content 0%”. The game says it installed, and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Help!

having this exact same issue.
have left it sitting at "downloading content 0%" for an hour while i went and did other things, still just sits there at 0%

I have the same problem too. "downloading content 0%" with no progress at all. i could launch other games, but only Hades has this problem.

so i was able to get it to run:
go to the game and instead of launching, go to the the settings "cog" icon at the far right.
then go to "properties"
then "compatibility"
then click "force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool" and choose "proton experimental"

after doing that i launched the game and it took a couple of minutes but it launched - hope this works for others.
