AMD RX 480 not able to use vulkan?

Hello, I've recently reinstalled Hades and noticed Vulkan support; however the game gives an error that I don't have the drivers installed or it is not supported (?).
This is weird since I've played with vulkan in the RPCS3 (playstation 3 emulator) without any issue before.

Do I need to install vulkan drivers to use vulkan with Hades? Or is my card just a no go?

You can try installing Vulkan drivers, but if the game runs fine on default (DirectX) setting, then I wouldn't worry about Vulkan.

Theoretically Vulkan should perform better on an amd so I'm trying to make it work.. However the game gives me a "No GPU found!" error when I try launching with vulkan, after saying I don't have the drivers or is not compatible. I don't know, maybe this is only for nvidia gpus? I tried updating the drivers, as well as restarting, but no juice.
Maybe my install is borked somehow?

Any other amd users could get it to run? On an rx 480?

It should be a no brainer running it on Windows tho.
I’ll search the web and see if i can find anything.
Does your catalist software recognize your GPU properly? I know windows tends to update drivers to broken versions.

Yeah it recognizes it properly. I've googled a few and some people mentioned they had to completely uninstall and then install the drivers to get it to work in No man's sky with vulkan and maybe hades too. I'll try that in a while

yes, i remember having to run "display driver uninstaller" from time to time because of windows update "updating" my drivers.
i still havent been able to look further into this, but i have not forgotten you

I have a vega 64 a get the same thing. Vulkan worked fine when I first bought the game, just started playing again about a week or so ago and Vulkan always pops up with "No GPU Detected". Other games that I have that use Vulkan run it just fine it's just Hades that doesn't.

there has been an AMD driver update that supposedly fixes Vulkan. have you tried that one yet?

Hello - AMD has just released an updated driver version to address issues with Vulkan initialization. If you're still having this issue, please try updating to Adrenalin 22.3.2 Optional and let us know if that resolves this for you!
