textures on some enemies garbled?

Some characters in the game look super low-quality and lossy, most notably the thugs, chariots, and bone hydra.
I've tried all the solutions in the support FAQ, including toggling Vsync and Gsync, uninstalling and reinstalling and verifying the files.

my specs: 3.6 GHz processor, 16 GB RAM, Geforce RTX 2060 Nvidia graphics card

It's hard to tell if there's something wrong from the screenshots indeed... If you're able to make a short video it should show it better. However, it might be simply a design choice... I'd suggest having a look at YouTube videos that are in good quality to see if that's the case. Just remember to look at post 1.0 videos (starting from October 2020) as the visuals were changing a bit over the early access.

Also, just to be sure - did you check if your graphic card drivers are up to date?

Edit: You could also try different launching versions to see if they make a difference. They pop up when you launch the game from Steam.

I’ve seen videos it’s not a design choice they’re definitely lossier than they’re supposed to be :( I’ll try updating my drivers but I did try the different versions already with no effect

You can also send a F10 report if you're on PC, where you can explain the issue with a screenshot when the enemies look like that.
