3D models are blurry
I recently bought this game and most of it looks beautiful, but the characters and a few animated elements look blurry compared to the rest of the game. Should I reinstall the game, or is this some kind of wrong setting?

The orb and the background are much more clear than Zagreus and the barge in the image

Heyo--when the game starts up, which option do you select? (Default, Vulkan, or 32?

Default

Alright. Could you try verifying file integrity, and also try using the Vulkan option?

Thanks for the ideas. I tried changing to Vulkan on start but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure what you mean by verifying file integrity, although I'm happy to try.

· Right-click on Hades in your Steam Library
· Select 'Properties...', then select the 'Local Files' tab
· Select 'Verify Integrity of Game Files...'

I ran verify integrity and than booted the game using the Vulkan and Default settings, still no dice.

Alright--could you check if your graphics driver is fully up to date?

As it happens I did have an out of date driver, but that didn't fix the problem.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That worked, thanks! I'm insanely impressed by your knowledge of this game. Out of curiosity, what does that mean the source of the problem was?
TheSwanDragon Dec 11, 2020 @ 5:35pm
Sure thing ^.^

(most likely) For whatever reason, the game thought that your graphics card wasn't good enough to load certain higher-resolution assets, and automatically loaded lower-quality versions.

Thanks for the help, and for sharing!
