Cannot get past locked heart for Meg, not sure if it's a bug?

Alright, so, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Here's my situation:
I've gotten to max hearts with several characters (Skeleton dummy guy, Thanatos, lots of others who are maxed "For now" (The timed heart icon).)

I know that the locked heart means that an event is supposed to play out and then the heart unlocks and you can give them Ambrosia. (Or at least, this is what happened with Thanatos)

I've watched the scene where Meg appears in Zag's bedroom saying that she's grabbing her stuff. I do have her spawn in the lounge when I've beaten her in a run randomly, I just am unable to give her anything.

I also got some dialogue where she blames the mirror for her losses, so I've beat her with everything from the mirror turned off. That gave her some unique dialogue, but didn't unlock the heart.

I've also beaten her with the pact of punishment "New Boss Maneuvers" turned on. Again, it gives some new dialogue, which is cool, but doesn't unlock the heart.

Are you only able to unlock one "Love-Interest" type character to max hearts? Is it because I maxed Than first that I cannot max Meg? Am I just missing something obvious to trigger the event? (Do I need to throw the fight in some special way? I've tried this before but normally it just makes the character that killed you not spawn in the lounge.) Or was that scene in the room supposed to be the trigger and I'm actually running into a bug here?

Nevermind, the solution was literally, just keep doing runs. Sorry for the trouble.
