Should I turn on god mode to complete first win?

Anyone here using god mode to complete the game? I reached second phase of Hades "final boss" but didnt manage to beat him yet. Should I turn on god mode to learn his patterns and get the first win first? Thanks

In case you don't know, God Mode is just 20% damage reduction that scales up a small amount when you die. It isn't the usual video game god mode, in case you thought that.

As for whether to turn it on, that's totally up to you. If you want a little boost to keep the game flow going, turn it on; if you think you can handle it on your own, don't. You can toggle it on and off at any time, and it doesn't affect achievements, story, or anything else in the game.

Why ask us? It all depends on what you want: Are you just desperate to score a win no matter what, or do you want a win without using easy mode? It's literally up to you, I don't know what kind of person you are.

All I can tell you for sure is that it will feel MUCH more satisfying to do it normally.

Your choice. God mode will give you 20% damage reduction straight away + 2% on deaths I think up to 80%. If you want to make the game a bit easier then it would help a bit but won't make a huge difference at start I guess.

Beating on normal difficulty would be more rewarding/satisfying through.

It's not uncommon to take a while to get over that last hurdle. He is the final boss after all. I would say that if you've got that far then you would be best off pushing through and just improving on normal.

Personally, I didn't turn God mode on, and it took me like 70 attempts before I finally got him, however only 30 runs later I'm already on a 4 win streak against him. That just means, that yeah once you learn his patterns he becomes pretty doable. Even for middling players like me.

But I was where you are, frustrated that I keep getting to Hades, dying on his second form consistently. I still die to him often, and I still haven't cleared with some weapons.

Ultimately up to you, but I believe that you can do it!

No hard feelings mate but you did 99%, i think phase 2 can be easier than phase 1 if you pay attention to your safty. But no tips here just my encouragment. YOU CAN DO IT!
