Patroclus and Achilles quest might be glitched for me?

Help.
I've been doing everything I can to trigger the correct dialog, maxing out Achilles and Patroclus' hearts, maxing Nyx's, but still nothing. Achilles doesn't even have the exclamation point when I interact with him anymore. Now here is were I think I screwed up:

I thought the correct dialog for their quest would trigger when the codex said "One more conversation with Patroclus to learn more". When I spoke to him, I wore Achilles keepsake. Instead of whatever he was going to say, he talking about the bracer instead. Then the codex updated saying "Fear is for the weak" over and over with no context + with Achilles occasionally repeating the phrase to me in passing.

Did I forget to do something or just sincerely mess up? Dialog glitches have happened to me in other games and with 78 runs in, I'd rather not reset.

Codex updates and quest progression is not related.

Basically you probably need to keep talking to Achilles and Pat. It does take a while for the quest to appear.

You can verify the game files integrity just to be sure nothing is missing
