That kiss item

Getting to the last boss searching every passage for a Kiss of Stix and never finding it in the shop with over 600 gold. Feels so bad. :(

Great boons, great upgrades, no extra lives.

OH no. I've never beaten the last boss without dying once. My adrenaline is so high right now. I'm so scared. Pray for me.

Anyone else have this experience?

Kiss of Styx is just one of these rare items it seems. It was the last I got as well for the Prophecy. I will just remind you you need the proper "Death Defiance / Stubborn Defiance" bit activated...

Switch to the Acorn if you want to survive a bit more. Hades doesn't really do chip damage anyway, so every hit avoided helps.

Yeah, it's like those two scenarios raise the chance by 100% lol When you need it, it lowers it by 100%

I finally beat the game the game without losing a single defiance against Hades. All hail Excalibur.

Hehe, yes, I've been there. But it also feels great when you DO find it and have the funds.
One thing I like about the game is that it is possible to create strong builds in different ways. So I've had runs that I thought were doomed to fail and then I got some sorely needed boons in the lvery last minute. But yeah, sometimes luck's just not in your favor. Then the only thing you can do is really focus and hope for the best. ^^
