You'll have to do this each time you start the game but it only takes a second.
Tell people in the tech support section. I'm not opening or closing a ticket, nor will I subscribe to this thread, it's your jobs now.
There are other ways to fix it, as Stoibs mentions.
On the plus side, you can continue your game whenever you want on your phone (don't actually try this except to laugh at yourself)
Gamepass on PC is a buggy mess that doesn't update games properly. The only way I could get it to update the game is to open the "Microsoft Store" app, and then search for the game "Hades" in the search window. Don't select the Gamepass version, but the for sale store version. When you open the store page, it should start the update. Searching for updates for all games in Xbox App or Store App didn't get the update for me.
