Shield Aspect of Chaos 1.0 version: Useless??
Am I missing something? The multishield special attack seems worthless in this version (it was quite good in previous ones). It deals poor damage and poor crowd control. It leaves you defenseless for a moment without any advantage to compensate it.

The rest of weapons seems quite well balanced (with the Guan Ju exception, but it is supposed to be an unbalanced weapon to test yourself).

It's pretty easy to hit a lot of enemies with a long lasting effect like Weaken and then just run away and use the special to tag them all with Doom or Jolt + Lightning for significant damage due to Privileged Status 40% damage kicking in. Basically, this kind of strategy is extremely low committal for a weapon that already probably the safest pick.
I should give it a try using those strategies.

For Hades fight it seems to be worthless though... (Hades is my main problem, extreme conditions version is quite hard withouth a heavy hitting weapon aspect).

Poseidon's Rupture effect is actually surprisingly strong against Hades due to how frequently he dashes around. This effect got buffed in 1.0. Hades can actually get really cheesed out by using Poseidon on your main attack and getting the hammer upgrade that turns the Bull Rush into a ranged blast. Basically it lets you block, shove him away, repeat etc. while the Rupture and whatever other effects whittle away his hitpoints. (He does heal, but you can clear out urns so its not very much)

Basically what banthor11 said.

I wouldn't call Chaos Aspect useless now but it is significantly different/nerfed compared to what it was IMO. Personally, I dislike it and instead favor Zeus Aspect. I mostly dislike how the Shields from Chaos Aspect are thrown in front of you like a shotgun spread instead of the previous version that shot out in all directions, like a death blossom. Which is probably the reason why it was nerfed lol.

Remember, Death Blossom delivers only one massive volley at close range... theoretically.

Looking at older footage of the Chaos aspect, it looks like the extra shields you threw used to chain to many enemies, while the current version has the extra shields not chaining to anyone else (or if so, very few). Before, it's room clearing potential was probably considered way too high.

It's not bad, but I see 0 reason to grab that over Zeus aspect. Seems like it would only be better in situation with a very large amount of enemy, but those are rare and mostly deal with many weak enemy which are easy to deal with anyway. Zeus is great for any situation.

Honestly I don't like the shield to start with. I like the zues but the others are kind of meh, I am not fan of the shield charge, it doesn't do a whole lot of damage but it is nice for blocking damage.
By the way I'm not saying the shield is bad, I'm sure there are several builds that make it extremely strong but I'm more of a..well I like most of the other weapon/accpects, like Poseidon sword + aries legendary, blade rift shot and the aries + Artemis duo is pretty strong

Deflection, Push backs, and Doom will be the best to go with this, so finding these, or going else these paths can assist you use it better. Each aspect plays differently, and you'll find fun ways to play it, I'm sure :D

Yeah i find it quite lacking in usefulness. I much prefer the beowulf aspect for fun. But i find the shield to be my least favourite playstyle to begin with anyway.

Thanks mates, good strategies here. Still, Zeus and Beowulf aspects (and even Zag one) feel way more strong and useful than Chaos aspect, but ill select it from time to time just for variation.
