1. Always increase heat to the required amount for new bounties.
2. Always pick the weapon with the Darkness buff, which can also be upgraded to increase Gemstone rewards as well iirc
3. Check in with the Wretched Broker every escape attempt for the 1 time deals, some are better than others though.
4. Get the various upgrades from the Contractor which increases resource gain in some way.
5. Don't use the Mirror upgrade which increases the chance of Boons, Hammers etc. since it reduces your chance of seeing meta currency chambers.
There's really no shortcut to farming a particular currency, just play the game with ever increasing heat and try to not lose.

Re: diamonds in particular, Charon's shop in the Temple of Styx often has a diamond for sale. So aside from claiming bounties and completing prophecies, a good way to get some diamonds is to farm a bunch of extra gold to buy them during your run. The Chaos boon that increases the gold you collect is really good for this.

I'd also recommend fully levelling the Golden Touch talent in the mirror. This gives you +15% of your current gold every time you exit an area. If you avoid shops you can accumulate a ton of gold for the Styx shop this way.

On top of this make sure your completing bounties. Obviously looking at your profile you clearly aren't close to getting 100% achievements in the game and that's a great place to start! a lot of the prophecies will give you 4-5 diamonds and are simple things that come over the course of the game. I never once farmed for diamonds and have enough to platinum the game if I so choose. Though I will say @cowblitz has it figured out as well, if you REALLY need a ♥♥♥♥ ton of diamonds for cosmetics or the sorts gear your run for said diamonds. I just am saying if you wanted to get all content out of the game in terms of stories, prophecies will provide enough for you to not have to worry.
