Dark Thirst Rotation
I know this has been posted before, and Reddit is full of similar comments, but I thought I would bring it up, since there seem to be many, many users experiencing somthing similar. Looking at my past runs, I see that my Dark Thirst is concentrated exceptionally highly amongst three of my weapons. I have gotten Dark Thirst on the Rail only once, on the sword twice. The chances of that amongst 70 runs is astronomically small. I understand that astronomically small chances are still chances, but it just seems odd that similar patterns take place with others as well. Hence my question:

Is there any way to look at the code and get a real confirmation that the RNG is, in fact, random? Or is there some sort of weighted aspect to the Dark Thirst rotation that is intended?

It would be nice if it rotated more evenly through the weapons. I get the sword and spear all the time but rarely get the gauntlet weapons

You could ask the modding server here[discord.gg] if they know where to check.

It's never bothered me too much but funnily enough in the last 10 runs or so, it's been the fists in 8 of them.

That yields a probability of 0.00001945

I did 59 runs. Of those 59, 46 of them were spear, shield or bow. The chances of that are
0.000009584

I actually thought that it was on rotation always, but i realised that theres a lot of it going for either shield or fists for me

But remember that only those people who get weird patterns will ever post them. People with "normal" RNG have very littler reason to post saying they have normal RNG. If you are basing your guess on only your data (which is far too small to be statisticly relevant) and other people's posts (which are obviously biased), then of course you'd see patterns where there likely are none. Humans are really bad at determining true randomness, which is why several systems use flubbed RNG to make them *feel* more random, when they are actually less so.

But it's stil a possibility, it can happen.

Exactly, we only hear about the uncommon weird cases.

Yes I realise that, it's quite the common theme. Like I said in my op, an astronomically small chance is still a chance. Nevertheless, I had hoped to spark some response from an entity capable of actually looking at the data or the code - that would stop speculation and make empirical verification possible. It can't be that hard to examine for someone on the team, can it?

Sorry, I seem to be stuck in some endless loop, discord asks me to "claim" the account, but I am already logged in. I have no idea of my password (must have registered over a year ago), but cannot see any way to reset or get around this loop.

Claiming an account is something you do that allows you to log back in after logging out. I'd look through Discord's support pages / contact them for help.
