Enemy variety?

Thinking about buying the game, but how is it in terms of enemy variety? Because that seems like the common problem in previous games from supergiant.

ok gets stale after a while variety is what the game lacks

There isn't that much enemy variety unfortunately, and the farther you get the more obnoxious the enemies become.

In a 20-30 minutes run you face with 25-30 different enemies. Honestly, what else do you need? :)

Game is still awesome tho, and has a lot of content for an early access

With activateable benefits to specific enemies through "The Pact of Punishment" the enemy Varity is quite broad, though the design of the enemys are the same and the atack patterns often alike they vary a lot. And often they feel challenging. Or I missed some things during my observations.
