Hades
Thoughts on Hades 2?
If anyone watched the gameplay videos or played the test version what are your thoughts so far? I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the first game more and also the character interaction. Also this rescue setting is pretty generic

I have yet to be disaponted with a SGG game. From Bastion to Pyre and Transistor. They are all great with amazing music and narratives. And you know the voice actors can pull the strings of your heart

All SGG titles have the same exact vibe and gameplay that you can expect from them. And everyone whom have played Hades 2 thus far have nothing but positive opinion that they expected from previous SGG works. I'm going say that if you dislike any of SGG previous titles then you are almost certainly not going to enjoy Hades 2 as well.

Hades 1 was delightfully progressive.
Hades 2 is lame and woke.

H1 = Must have, amazing!
H2 = Woke crap

I was expecting a continuation of Zagreus story but all I see is girl-bosses with massive muscles and men characters with feminine faces in a pink/green/purple world.

That’s a lot of fresh systems, but they’re all embedded in the foundational frame of Hades 1, so there’s never a feeling of being overwhelmed, because at the end of the day the main thing is to go out there, kick some butt, and experience more of the story. I don’t know what your definition of a perfect sequel is, but according to mine Supergiant Games is currently cooking one with Hades 2.

This is... disaponting. I was expecting that Hades 2 kept the same respect and base of the greek mythology as the original did...

Key word: Mythology!

I hate going Ad Hominem but some people commenting in those Hades 1 threads (and soon 2) are of bad faith, trolling or stupids (Nothing exclusive).

Remember: Never go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥! (Kirk Lazarus as Sgt. Lincoln Osiris in Tropic Thunder, 2008)

The first Hades took various liberties with the mythology as well, and there's even contradictions between early and later Greek mythology, never mind adaptations that followed in the centuries following the fall of the Olympians as the cornerstones of Greece's religious experience.

Getting worked up over alleged disrespect to the source material is basically on the level of getting upset over Wolverine's claws no longer being part of his gloves. The source material has been altered so many times you might as well call Greek mythology itself a Ship of Theseus.

Expect it does keep that same respect. People are getting so worked up because it has more female characters and that's it. Oh no a female character has abs so it must be woke right? The male characters in the first game are pretty damn flamboyant and no one complained but anything with a strong female lead is now instantly woke.

Hades 2 is a step down in every aspect from Hades 1. Weapons are worse, boons are worse, story is worse.

Good thing they're using the Early Access format to give you a chance to provide feedback on all of those eh?

Hades one was great but the main issues for me with H2 is the ART race changing ancient Greece gods just smells of SBI and DEI .

I should have it today, my friends played all day yesterday, thus far the only solid complaint from them and watching is the game seems harder for melee and ranged is the way to go.

I'm not including any "woke" aspects like everyone else cause thats a personal opinion thing

Yeah but that doesn't mean it should be rewritten. Whitewashing is considered disgraceful and quite racist and yet they are doing that with some of characters making them black instead of white. While I don't find your tropic thunder a problem, the very ideology and people that support the rewriting of history would absolutely want that movie to be rewritten with actors who are truly "neuro divergent" to increase representation as long as the word choices were also changed. See it's not a fear of progression or minorities or LGBTQIAP+ people, it's the overdoing of these things that has gotten ridiculous and quite "exclusionary" via inclusion. Most who are complaining, that I can tell, see it for the problem it is with funding that is quite "ethically questionable" at best.

It's a copy paste with another cover with 90% being female characters
