Entirely up to what you want. Want to try without? Go for it

God mode is when you are struggling at first and things are unbearably hard for you. But when things become better, you can turn it off.

It's a lot less helpful than it sounds.

That's what people say to cope. Just accept it's easy mode, and if you're ashamed of using it then don't use it.

You already got used to it. I don't know man. You might've ruined your own experience. You got the story though. Hopefully you enjoyed it I guess. I'm personally busting my arse trying to get through the story and it feel so rewarding.

What do you mean worth it? If you want to keep playing on the game's version of easy mode keep it on, if you want to play on normal difficulty, turn it off.

See for yourself if you will miss that 70% damage resistance.

I was someone who struggled with this game when it first came out and thought God Mode was the only way I was going to win. Funnily enough, I couldn't even get through a run then.

Come back to it after all this time and started working on it again, this time without God Mode. After a couple days of trying and about 20 attempts, I finally managed to clear a run, and let me tell you...the feeling is worth it.

At the end of the day it's only your own decision of how challenging you want the game to be. It's a single player game and there's no leaderboards so at the end of the day it really is just your own issue on whether you want to have an easy time coasting to the epilogue or not. It won't affect my or anyone else's time with the game.

He has 70% Damage resistance if he has died 25 times out of those 50 attempts on godmode, thats not "a lot less helpful" lol

I mean, if you beat Hades 25 times, it seems like you might be ready to give it a try without god mode

This game allows you to set the difficulty right at the point you want it by playing with/without god mode or turning up and down the heat. I think the game is meant for you to adjust difficulty up to the point you have fun.

No, the game only allows you to turn the difficulty up as much as you want.
It does not let you turn it down in any way except for less than helpful god mode.

Besides it not being "less than helpful", the game gives you a large amount of permanent upgrades, literally all of which turn the difficulty down. The difference between a fresh run and a run with all mirror/house contractor/weapon/keepsake/companion upgrades is absolutely huge.

Also since no one mentioned it, in case anyone finds this later, a good alternative to turning god mod off completely is using the +damage pact option to offset the damage reduction.
