Getting Thanatos

Does anyone know any somewhat easier way to get thanatos? I can't make it to the 3 ''level'' for the life of me

Keep improving, both your skill level and permanent upgrades, and you will get there. The game is a roguelike, it is designed to take many runs. If you feel progress is too slow, you always have God Mode in the options, which gives you damage reduction when turned on, which scales up each time you die, giving you another means of powering up to progress further over time.

if you mean socially, just make sure to chat to him when possible and give gifts
if you mean to show up in the run, pretty sure it's random
if you mean win his little contests, it's also dependant on luck in what enemies are present. some will be inherently more difficult for you than him
