They might be, but they werent in the original myths. Mainly because the Minotaur was busy bleeding out while they were bonding. That said, I dont really get a romantic bond between them like I do Achilles and Protrocolus, more of the sense of an extreme extrovert and his introverted friend just being dragged along for the ride.
