I don't think so.
This game is more canon than greek mythology itself.

what he means is they re both mother and son and cousins, Hades and demeter are brother and sister since zagreus is Hades's son while persephone is demeter's daughter it makes them cousins.

In the game, it is explained that Demeter is not actually related to Hades by blood. She hated her real father so much, that she does not want to be associated with him whatsoever, so she is an "honorary" member of Zeus' family instead. The devs went out of their way to rewrite the original mythology to remove the off-color parts.

Demeter repeatedly describes Zeus as her "foster brother." This game went to great lengths to remove all the incest from the Greek myths, so Zag and Persephone are not cousins in this game.
