Hades
Does the game's difficulty scale up the more you upgrade?
Currently new to the game, still taking my sweet time and exploring (I try to avoid spoiler).

That aside, I obviously die alot, thought that's something I don't take to heart since I get to farm materials like gems, darkness, keys, nectars, or whatever to unlock things.. but it's not my like my own "mechanical skill" level scales that fast the more I die (sad) 🙁I've also made many mistakes like not using nectars efficiently by giving the same character multiple nectars to see what happens, or not knowing that Hades will just confiscate the nectar I gave him.

I wonder if I'm shooting myself in the foot by not mid-maxing, lol. I prefer to avoid guides for now. I just want to know... does the game's difficulty go up the longer I play? Example.. does Meg or Hydra get beefier after more and more encounters?

Some bosses may learn new moves, but the overall average difficulty doesn't scale much. The real scaling begins after you've beaten the final boss, as that unlocks the Pact of Punishment; a mechanic where you decide how to make the game tougher so that it offers rewards again.

If you need it, there's always God Mode in the options. This provides increasing damage reduction for you every time you die. Once you feel comfortable, you can turn it off again.

Lol, you're that same guy who's always helping me in the Monster Hunter Forums. I appreciate you helping me here too 😁

-- alright, I assume that this is like a New Game+ or something which is okay since there are achievements which I want to slowly unlock anyway. Good to hear that won't **** me up too much 😄I really want to take my time.

Depending on exactly how new you are, there might be some changes/surprises, but there's no 'level scaling' or anything like that. Progress is always just going to be making you stronger, not the enemies.

The Pact of Punishment is how the game scales difficulty, by giving you a bunch of different options (debuffs, making enemies stronger etc). But even then it'll only change the things you choose; e.g. if you don't select any of the options that make enemies stronger, you'll be fighting the exact same enemies.
