A bit of both. The main tips given are to use the pillars to block Theseus' javelin throws, and to focus down the bull as quickly as possible so you can get the fight down to a 1v1.

if you have splash damage, try to follow theseus. Theseus will run away from you while the bull chases you, so if you follow Theseus, it is easier to hit both heroes with splash damage

I was stuck for awhile as well but you will get on eventually. And tip target Theseus 1st:zagsnooze:

Honestly this might not be to helpful because other people have given the opposite advice but I always target Asterius (the Bull) first. Try to fight him around the edges of the map and hopefully Theseus stays in the middle and you can use pillars to block his spear throw.

Once Theseus is alone he's pretty easy. Also unless you have the time limit pact on then it isn't a race, take your time.

Personally I think it's much, much more effective to target the Bull first.
Stay away from Theseus, and the bull will come to you. Watch and learn the Bulls attacks and keep an eye on when Theseus' target is over you; even walking side to side will avoid the snipe. You'll soon learn the Bulls tells and timings. Theseus on his own is pretty easy to dodge.

Yes, Theseus is actually really easy to dodge once you get the timing down; he's only got two attacks to start with and they are extremely predictable. I'd always focus Asterius first unless you've got the ability to alpha strike Theseus when he hits his 50% health Call, e.g. Cthonic Companion + a high damage Call. You REALLY don't want to deal with Theseus's God ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in Phase 2 while still having to dodge Asterius.

Other than that, it's mostly just learning to dodge Asterius' attacks properly.

When Minotaur uses his charge try to get behind those pillars he will crash quickly and stop his rush. For the theseus, only attack him after he have thrown his spear because only then he starts to reveal his back to you which you can use to attack.

Yes, it is ALWAYS a matter of just getting good with games like these. Part of getting good is figuring out strats to beat bosses too.

Yeah it is about repetition but I'd advise to use pillars like mentioned above to avoid Theseus whilst killing the Minotaur first as you want to kill him before letting Theseus get to phase 2 as avoiding both Theseus and the bull at that point will make it harder

Yeah this ♥♥♥♥ is hard it took me like 10-12 resets and upgrading to get them, they are harder than most dark souls bosses and I've beaten them all including Bloodborne. I dont know what were the devs thinking putting this hard double boss encounter that early into the game

Asking this here but when you first meet the bull in elysium, if you beat him when hes alone, what happens after that?
Orb Jul 4, 2023 @ 1:38pm
Just focus on the bull first, Theseus' spear is pretty easy to dodge, use the pillars for both. Theseus 1v1 is easy

I kind of prefer to kill Theseus first, in his enraged mode summoning god powers all the time he is far more annoying than the bull? Even more because certain god powers are clearly more dangerous than others. If you time your dashes well you can make the bull rush into a wall and get stunned for a bit after all.

In general it helps to have some Athene skills, so you have the ability to parry certain attacks and also getting the revives from the permanent upgrades.
