[POTENTIAL SPOILER] Any guaranteed way to get a fishing spot on surface?

so is there any guaranteed way to get a fishing spot in hades area? i need to catch that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sturgeon but i rarely get a fishing spot there even with poseidon's legendary boon, and when i do its usually a bass

The only way ik that increase chances of a fishing spot to appear *on the surface* is poseidon's boon
The fish you catch depends on how fast you click the bobber(the round thing)
If you press the button in less than .34 seconds then you have a 1/21 chance of catching a legendary fish(yea the sturgeons legendary F). Which mean 20/21 it'll be a rare(the bass is rare) Yea those are some ♥♥♥♥ chances lol
It's all about luck and how quick you are. Hope you get that sturgeon lol

Pretty sure the catch is 50% common/uncommon for normal catches, 50% uncommon/rare for perfect catches. Once I got consistent at perfect catches, I was often getting multiple rare fish a run, which wouldn't happen if the chances are what everyone says they are.

Confirmed after checking the wiki just now:
"In theory, the game data sets the weighted chance for each type of fish, with 1/21 (≈ 4.76%) chance to catch a Legendary fish on Perfect catch, and 1/21 of catching a Rare on Good catch (see FishingData.lua - default weight is 1, and those have 0.05).

In practice, there's a trivial bug in FishingScripts.lua , line 69 (function GetFish() ), due to using fishingTable[fishData.Name] = fishingTable.Weight or 1 instead of fishingTable[fishData.Name] = fishData.Weight or 1. As a result, all the weights are set to 1, giving 50% for each type of possible fish, as stated in the bullet points above."

The Sturgeon is a rare (or legendary, using in game terms) fish, so you have to do a perfect catch, at which point you have a 50% chance to get it. And no, there is no way to guarantee it, apparently it is a 20% chance, and I'm pretty sure Poseidon's boon is the only way to increase those odds.

I see, it kinda sucks because I have done almost everything and getting that sturgeon is one thing I have to do to 100% the game and is super grindy because surface is only 1 chamber

there is 1 which increase the time for perfect catches
there is 1 which makes fishes appear more
there is also 1 which makes 'greece' available (cose it become unavailable at some point) which gives u more chances for the outside fishes

and before u call it cheating, the devs support modding of the game

Im only talking about perfect catches which can get you a legendary fish. Its the reason why i didnt mention the common/rare catches which occur when you take more than .34 seconds to press the button
